ABOUT US

Founded in 2003 in the heart of the village of Sainte-Thècle in Mauricie, Clos Sainte-Thècle is a vineyard on a human scale where respect for the land, the vine and the environment finds its rightful place. Dedicated to the search for an ideal of balance and harmony between modernity and tradition, we consider ourselves the guardians of a unique, rigorous but generous terroir, which we cultivate with passion and humility and also with the conviction that the small lots of artisanal wines from our plot of land can captivate the imagination and palate of those who seek authenticity.

OUR PEOPLE

After 20 years on the West Coast, two "ski bums", Éric Blouin and Annie Trépanier, returned to Quebec in 2019 to take the reins of Clos Sainte-Thècle.

During this time, Eric worked as a sommelier at some of the country’s most prestigious establishments. He later transitioned to wine imports, curating a portfolio and partnering with world-renowned wine houses and producers. This experience not only expanded his international network but also, most importantly, ignited his passion for winemaking.

Annie, for her part, was first a teacher before turning to the restaurant and tourism industry, where she held positions in operations management, notably in human resources and accounting.

In 2008, they launched a small "négociant" project in the Willamette Valley, Oregon, with the mission of showcasing the terroir of this region through small productions of wines from specific sites, from producers who respect the land by favouring sustainable practices.

Together, today, they use their rich experience, their passion and their meticulous approach to produce exceptional wines, highlighting the terroir of this unique site in Mauricie.
